Private Music Instruction On Pointe Academy of the Arts offers 30-minute weekly private lessons, personalized to your student’s pace and interests. Students may focus on one instrument or explore a mix to find their perfect fit.

Our instructors are flexible, experienced, and passionate about teaching. In fact, one of our teachers is a natural multi-instrumentalist who quickly learns and adapts—so if your student is curious about an instrument not listed here, chances are we can help them learn it.

Making Music Early Childhood Music (Birth–Age 7) There’s something magical about watching your child light up when the music starts. Our Making Music program nurtures that spark while supporting key areas of development. Backed by research and rooted in joy, these classes are led by caring, qualified educators who make learning both fun and meaningful.

Class Offerings

    • Baby & Me (Birth–1 year, with parent): Music, movement, and bonding that support early brain and motor development.
    • Toddler & Me (1–3 years, with parent): Explore rhythm and melody through playful songs, movement, and instruments.
    • Preschool Music (3–5 years): Build foundational rhythm, melody, and expression through group play and creativity.
    • Young Kids (5–7 years): Hands-on with rhythm, pitch, and beginner theory—perfect preparation for private lessons.

Our Music Team

  • Ms. Kristen – Director of Music & Private Music Instructor Kristen leads our music program with over 20 years of experience teaching piano, voice, and general music. Her enthusiasm for student growth is matched only by her care for each family. She works closely with families to help students transition from early childhood classes to private lessons when they’re ready.
  • Ms. Kayela – Making Music Instructor A passionate music educator with a heart for little learners, Kayela brings warmth, energy, and expertise to every class. With a background in early childhood education and music instruction, she helps every child feel seen, celebrated, and supported through music.
  • Mr. Boon – Private Music Instructor Boon brings joy and a sense of fun to every lesson. Specializing in guitar, bass, saxophone and ukulele, he makes music approachable for even the youngest beginners. His relaxed, encouraging style helps kids build confidence and fall in love with learning an instrument.
